Lozer Cup - Race Information

Lozer Cup Races
The Lozer Cup races are community-organized pick-up races held during the Deerfield River release season in Northwestern Massachusetts.

  • Races take place at high noon on scheduled Sundays
  • Racers meet at the put-in to the Monroe Bridge (aka Dryway) section of the Deerfield River.
  • The race begins with a mass start above Factory Rapid.
  • The race ends at the take-out below Labyrinth Rapid.
  • There is no fee to participate.
  • All whitewater craft are allowed. Several boat classes are tracked.
  • Results are posted to the Lozer Cup website

Lozer Cup Point Series
The Lozer Cup point series tracks racers across the whole season to crown an overall Deerfield River champion.

  • Participation in any Lozer Cup race automatically enters a racer in the seasonal point series.
  • Racers are awarded a point value for each finishing position in a Lozer Cup race.
  • A racer's best 3 finishes are used to calculate the point series total.
  • Points are tallied at the overall and at the boat class level.
  • Results are posted to the Lozer Cup website
